Rees Howells, born in Welsh mining village, is best known as the founder of the Bible College of Wales. He was a man wonderfully inspired by God; one who learnt the Bible as the Spirit made him live it.
Rees Howells left school at the age of twelve, working in a tin mill and then in a coal mine. As he came to know the redeeming power of his Lord and Saviour, he faced the implications of an entire surrender, learnt to love the unlovely and found the key to the power of prayer. He became the channel of a mighty revival in Africa, was taught the principle of divine healing and progressed so far in faith until world events were affected.
